Cornerstone School of Washington, D.C.

Cornerstone is the only K-12 Christian School in the D.C. area that serves low-income families. More than 95% of students are Black or African American. 100% of students receive tuition assistance.

On October 8th, 2025, Mr. Feng Dong and Mr. Dao Feng He visited Cornerstone. They attended and observed an interactive discussion of the book “Frankenstein” in a literature class and an engaging chapel talk on “Integrity.” The students’ reflections on faith during the sharing session, along with their upbeat, polite demeanor, left a deep impression on them.

Following the visit, the two foundations initiated a feasibility study to explore the possibility of launching a joint project. The study focused on the depth and seriousness of the school’s faith education, continued support and connection with their Alumni, fundraising sustainability, and the reasonableness of the school’s operating costs and expenditures.

Based on the results of the project research, we believe that Cornerstone is a Christ-centered, mission-driven nonprofit with significant growth potential. Thus, Bedrock Foundation and Dao Feng and Angela Foundation committed a co-grant of $80,000 ($30,000 and $50,000) to support the High School of Cornerstone in 2026. Additionally, the two foundations will provide consulting support to help Cornerstone set up the Alumni and resource network project and a sustainable fundraising system.
